JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior analytic services.  These services include providing direct interventions (in small group or 1:1 instruction) to teach communication, social, and daily living skills along with reducing problematic behaviors in the school setting.  The RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. It is the responsibility of the RBT supervisor,, the behavior analyst (BCBA) to determine which tasks an RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence.
